Power of Now Oasis (PONO) is a beachfront yoga and wellness retreat centre in Sanur, Bali, founded in 2010 by retired boat captain. A Yoga Alliance-accredited school, PONO runs daily yoga classes, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and customised wellness retreats from an eco-friendly bamboo shala directly on the beach, and has trained over 1,000 teacher-training graduates. Operating as a semi not-for-profit, proceeds support the local foundation and community scholarships. Despite ranking near the top of Bali's yoga schools before the pandemic and the rise of AI search, PONO's visibility had slipped, and the business needed to understand why and fix it.

Wellness travellers increasingly plan trips by asking AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity for recommendations, not just searching Google, channel PONO wasn't yet set up to be found through, let alone measure. Despite already investing a meaningful monthly budget in Google and social ads, PONO wasn't appearing in Google's AI summaries or top-of-page results, and a generic, AI-written proposal from another provider hadn't inspired confidence. With the site built on WordPress and Elementor and already carrying Google Analytics, Google Ads, and structured data, PONO needed a genuine, tailored review not another templated pitch to identify exactly where visibility was being lost and fix it.

Our Digital Marketing Solution

We started with a full foundational SEO audit and a 3-month action plan, fixing missing H1 tags, validating schema markup, and building out a GEO/AEO plan alongside the traditional SEO strategy. We rewrote and republished a steady stream of SEO-optimised blog articles, rebuilt key pages including Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Classes with clearer titles, FAQs, and intro content, and built citation and schema infrastructure, including Wikipedia/Wikidata profile information to strengthen PONO's presence in AI-driven search. Alongside this, we set up proper GA4 tracking to measure genuine AI-assistant referral traffic specifically, separating real growth from reporting noise, so PONO could see with real data not just be told, exactly how this new discovery channel was performing.
